General questions
A standard coaching block is six sessions spread over twelve weeks. Each session runs 90 minutes. We space them fortnightly so you have time to apply what we discuss before the next conversation. Some clients extend to a second block if their goals shift or deepen, but there is no pressure to do so. We review progress together at session four and again at session six, so you always know where things stand.
Both. Roughly half our work is with individuals whose employer sponsors the coaching. The other half comes from organisations who book workshops or group programmes for their management teams. When an organisation engages us, we usually start with a scoping call with the HR lead or the sponsoring senior manager to understand the context. Individual clients can book directly through our contact form.
We arrive at your venue by 8:30 am and set up the room. The session starts at 9. The day alternates between short input segments (15 to 20 minutes of a coach presenting a concept or model), group exercises, pair discussions and plenary debriefs. We break for lunch around 12:30 and wrap up by 4:30 pm. You provide the venue, a projector or large screen, and flip-chart paper. We bring all other materials. Half-day versions follow the same rhythm but finish by 1 pm.
Yes. We adapted our workshop format for remote delivery in 2020 and have refined it since. Online workshops run in shorter blocks: two sessions of 2.5 hours each, usually on consecutive days. We use breakout rooms for pair and small-group work, and a shared digital whiteboard (Miro or Mural, depending on your preference) for collaborative exercises. Engagement is high because we keep input segments short and interactive elements frequent.
A six-session coaching block costs £2,400 plus VAT. That includes a pre-engagement call, six 90-minute sessions, brief email support between sessions, and a written summary at the end. Full-day in-person workshops start at £1,800 plus VAT for groups of up to 12 participants. For larger groups or multi-day programmes, we provide a custom quote within three working days of your enquiry. Travel expenses within Scotland are included; for locations elsewhere in the UK we add actual travel costs at the time of booking.
All our coaches hold accredited coaching qualifications at diploma level or above. Two hold the International Coaching Federation PCC credential, and one holds an ICF ACC. Beyond coaching qualifications, each coach has at least eight years of operational management experience in sectors such as financial services, healthcare and technology. We believe coaching is most useful when the coach understands the real pressures of managing people and budgets, not just the theory.
Logistics and process
After the initial scoping call, we suggest one or two coaches based on industry background, coaching style and the client's specific goals. We then arrange a 30-minute chemistry call between the client and the proposed coach. If the fit does not feel right, we offer an alternative. About 90 percent of clients proceed with the first coach suggested, but the choice is always theirs.
We ask for at least 48 hours' notice. Sessions cancelled with less than 48 hours' notice are counted as used, because the coach has reserved that time and turned away other work. If something genuinely urgent comes up, we will always try to be flexible, but the 48-hour rule keeps the programme on track for both sides.
Yes. The content of coaching sessions is confidential between you and your coach. If your employer is sponsoring the coaching, we agree on a simple reporting framework at the start. Typically that means we share high-level themes and progress against goals with the sponsor, but never the details of what you said. You see and approve any summary before it goes to your employer.
Within five working days of the workshop, we send a digital pack to all participants. It includes a summary of the key models covered, the exercises we used (so you can repeat them with your own teams), and a list of the commitments each participant made during the closing session. We also include a short reading list for anyone who wants to go deeper on a particular topic.
That is how we prefer to work. Off-the-shelf workshops have their place, but the programmes that produce the most visible change are the ones built around your organisation's actual situation. We start with interviews or short surveys with a sample of participants, identify the two or three themes that matter most, and design the content around those themes. The design process takes about two weeks from the initial brief.
